To remove the stale odour in your bread bins, sprinkle a teaspoon of soda bicarbonate and cover with waxed paper.

To freshen stale bread, heat water in a pot and place a sieve on top of it. Place the stale bread on top of the sieve and cover the pot. Let the bread steam for a few minutes.

To cut extra thin slices of bread knife in, dip the bread knife in hot water before use.

For a protein rich diet add 1/2 kg of soya bean flour to 3 kgs of wheat flour. This can be used to make flat breads.

To make chappatis/flat breads turn out soft and fluffy, knead the wheat flour with salt, oil and ice cold water.

When preparing pakoras or bhajias, add a cup of yogurt to the gram flour. This will make the pakoras soft and crispy.

Let cookies cool down thoroughly before storing. They will remain crisp and crunchy.
